Sport - memory - art. Berlin offers travel inspiration for the whole of 2024: the city is currently getting ready for the Berlinale, while the travel industry will meet at ITB Berlin between 5 and 7 March. In summer, Berlin will host the UEFA Euro 2024, and in autumn the world will once again be looking to Berlin for the 35th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. A variety of anniversaries, art, cultural and sports events will once again attract national and international guests to the city this year.

"Berlin is so much more than its clubs, its galleries, and its reputation as the European capital of cool", according to the magazine "TimeOut", which ranks Berlin as the third best city in the world!

Berlin is looking forward to these anniversaries with a colourful accompanying programme:

35 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall: A whole series of events and festive acts with high-profile international guests is scheduled to celebrate the anniversary.

20 years of the Festival of Lights: The light art festival is one of the most famous in the world.

50th Berlin Marathon: Every autumn, the event attracts around 45,000 runners, handbikers and inline skaters from 120 nations on a cross-city tour.

100 years of the S-Bahn: A programme to celebrate the suburban railway is planned for Berliners, families, technology enthusiasts and visitors to the city.
